The anticipated opening of Cafe Capri on the street level of the Reed Opera House has been the talk of Downtown Salem. As workers laid the beautiful black white tile, marble counters and installed the fine tuned equipment, onlookers were eager to be the first customers.
Now open, Cafe Capri is even more that expected.
Scott Chernoff, Principal of Cumberland Holdings, owner of the Reed is excited to have this level of tenant.
“This is a great day for Reed and Downtown Salem.” “The opening of Cafe Capri will provide a great asset the community and jump start an emergence of new businesses coming to the historic Reed Opera House.” Chernoff added.
Gary Buyagawan, a representative from D’Arte Coffee was on hand to explain the science of the process that makes D’Arte coffee so desirable. “We roast individual varietals of beans in small batches and then blend them together.” “The result is great tasting coffee in every cup.” Buyagawan traveled from Seattle to attend the opening of Cafe Capri. Cafe Capri manager, Maddie Gulley is proud to say “I look forward to welcoming coffee lovers.” Maddie trained at Caffe D’Arte headquarters in Seattle to learn about brewing and serving world class coffee and tea mixed drinks.”
